A German poet and novelist, son of Justinus; born at Gaildorf, June 14, 1817. A physician like his father, like him he has published both medical and literary works. Among the latter, his "Poems" appeared in 1851; "Princess Klatschrose" the same year (2d ed. 1894); "The Flying Tailor", an opera, in 1862; "Parson Staber, or the New Ahasuerus", a comedy, in 1888. "The Kerner House and its Guests" (1893) consisted of bright and interesting sketches of the inmates and visitors of his famous father's domicile, his own since the latter's death.
