Or Superior pharyngeal is a very small artery, and is given off by the internal maxillary at the bottom of the zygomatic fossa: after having passed through the pterygo-palatine canal, it is distributed to the superior part of the pharynx, the sphenoid bone, and the Eustachian tube.
