A genus of nematodes of the superfamily STRONGYLOIDEA, parasitic in the intestines of animals. The adults are usually free in the intestinal lumen; the larvae encyst in the wall.
A genus of parasitic nematode worms of the family Strongylidae found in the intestinal wall of man and of many domestic animals in Africa. The parasite forms cysts and the eggs are hatched in water, thus reaching a fresh host.
