A Spanish writer; born at Caspa, 1811. He was at one time professor of literature and history at the University of Saragossa, and afterwards connected with the Royal Library of Madrid. He has written a "History of the War of Independence"; "Verses, Serious and Gay"; the three dramas "Count Julian", "Cerdan, Judge of Aragon", and "Mauregato", as well as several comedies, among them "Periquito" and "The House of Pero Hernandez".
