A cerebral convolution of great extent, the principal portion of which is found on the inner surface of each hemisphere above the corpus callosum. In front it bends downwards and backwards to the fissure of Sylvius, and behind, it extend to the middle lobe and forms the hippocampus major.

- An inorganic water-soluble platinum complex. After undergoing hydrolysis, it reacts DNA produce both intra interstrand crosslinks. These crosslinks appear to impair replication and transcription of DNA. The cytotoxicity cisplatin correlates with cellular arrest in G2 phase cell cycle.
