A morbid condition produced by the action of anilin vapor. In acute cases, the chief symptoms are a cyanotic hue of the skin, giddiness, dyspnea, uncertainty of the gait, nausea, choking, and, in severe cases, loss of consciousness followed by vomiting and headache. In chronic cases, there is a cyanotic hue of the skin, with muscular feebleness, symptoms of gastric catarrh, and, in aggravated cases, nervous disturbances.
