subsequently Margravine of Ansbach. An English descriptive prose and verse writer; born in 1750; died at Naples, Jan. 13, 1828. She produced various sentimentalities in verse and in prose fiction; a meritorious record of travel, "Journey through the Crimea to Constantinople" (1789); and very readable "Memoirs of the Margravine of Ansbach, Formerly Lady Craven, Written by Herself" (1825).
