A German juvenile poet and artist; born in Stralsund, April 8, 1821. His silhouettes and figures, accompanied by verse, have delighted childhood in two continents. "Fables and Tales" (1853-54), and "New Silhouettes and Rhymes" (1855), are particular favorites. He died at Berlin, 1898.

Dopamine Acetyltransferase
- An enzyme that catalyzes the of groups from acetyl-CoA to arylamines. They have wide specificity for aromatic amines, particularly serotonin, and can also catalyze acetyl transfer between arylamines without CoA. EC 2.3.1.5.
