A French poet; born in Nimes, March 20, 1812; died March 14, 1870. His delicate poesy is preserved in "Preludes" (1835); "Tasso at Sorrento"; and "Olim" (1859); besides other volumes, in addition to which he turned his attention to legend and story and produced worthy prose.
