In intestinal putrefaction there are formed: indol, skatol, paracresol, phenol, phenylprop ionic acid, phenylacetic acid, paraoxyphenylacetic acid, hydroparacumaric acid, fatty acids, carbon dioxid, hydrogen, methane, methylmercaptan, and sulphureted hydrogen.
