A French journalist, poet, and miscellaneous writer; born at Marly-le-Roi, 1794; died at Amiens, Feb. 23, 1878. He was editor of the Picardy Gazette, 1831. He wrote; "Parliamentary Sketches" (1832), in verse; "Political Customs" (1845); "A Ghost" (1852), a two-act comedy in verse; "Poetic Fancies" (1857); "Poetical Miscellanies" (1860); etc.
