Under the name Perforating Arteries, are included, 1. In the hand- arterial branches, given off by the profound palmar arch, which traverse the muscles and interosseous spaces. 2. In the thigh-three or four arteries, furnished by the profunda, which pass through the openings of the abductor magnus. 3. In the foot-the anterior and superior branches of the plantar arch.
