Called after Bruce, the Abyssinian traveller. B. ferrugin'ea, Angustu'ra spu'ria, (F.) Fausse Angusture, A. Ferrugineuse. The systematic name of the plant whence was obtained-it was supposed -false Angustura or false Cusparia Bark. It is really the bark of Strychnos nux vomica.
