An Italian economist and historian; born in Andezeno, Piedmont, April 12, 1782; died at Rome, Feb. 24, 1870. He wrote a "Continuation of Muratori's Annals of Italy, from 1750" (1824-68); and a study "On the Finances of Mediaeval Rome" (1855).
