An English miscellaneous writer, sister of James; born 1760; died at Norwich, 1818. She wrote: "Antoinette", a novel; "Life of Kotzebue" (1801); "Narrative of a Three Years' Residence in France" (1810); "Narrative of a Residence in Ireland" (1817); many other narratives of observations in foreign countries, as South Africa (1806), the Ottoman Empire, Brazil, Japan, etc.; and several stories.
