Made by saturating lemon or lime juice, or a solution of citric acid, with carbonate of ammonia. It may be made extemporaneously, and taken in an effervescing state. Seventeen grains of citric acid, or half a fluidounce of lemon juice, will be sufficient for thirteen grains of carbonate of ammonia.
