An American author, playwright and journalist; born in New Bloomfield, N. J., July 22, 1867. His plays include "An Enemy to the King", and "The Ragged Regiment", and among his novels are "An Enemy to the King" (1897); "The Continental Dragoon" (1898); "Philip Winwood" (1900); "Captain Ravenshaw" (1901). Died 1906.
