Abics Canadensis, Hemlock, Hemlock Spruce. A tree, which is abundant in Canada, Nova Scotia, and the more northern parts of New England, and is found in the elevated and mountainous regions of the Middle States. The pitch-Pix Canadensis, Canada Pitch, Hemlock Pitch- obtained from it is commonly known under the name Hemlock Gum.
