Cooper's Well, in Hinds County, four miles from Raymond, and thirteen from Jackson, is a sulphuretted saline, the chief constituents being the sulphates of soda and magnesis. Of the solid ingredients upwards of 3 per cent are of peroxide of iron. The waters are chiefly used in chronic gastro-enteric affections. Ocean Springs, in Jackson County, is an acidulo-sulphureous chalybeate.
