A French poet; born at Chateauroux (Indre), in 1853. In his first book of poems, "In the Heaths" (1877), he reproduced in verse the most remarkable passages of George Sand's "La Petite Fadette" and "La Mare au Diable". His other works include: "Les Nevroses" (1883), and "The Abyss" (1886), besides his musical productions of "Ten Melodies" (1877) and "Rondels and Rondeaux" (1883). All of his poems have been received most favorably. Died Oct. 26, 1903.
