An Australian author; born in Port Macquarrie, Australia, about 1850. He went to sea at the age of fourteen, and has spent his life trading in the South Pacific. His publications are: "By Reef and Palm" (1895); "South Sea Stories" (1896); "The Ebbing of the Tide" (1896); and with W. Jeffrey, "A First-Fleet Family" (1896).
