See Chloroform. Under the names concentrated chloric ether and strong chloric ether -a compound of pure chloroform and nearly absolute alcohol, in the proportion of one-third of the former to two-thirds of the latter-has been used as an anaesthetic by inhalation, in the same cases as sulphuric ether and chloroform. It is properly an alcoholic solution or tincture of chloroform.
