When a salt of cinchonia is exposed to heat, with certain precautions, the alkaloid is changed into another, isomeric with itself, to which this name has been given. Cinchonicine, and its sulphate, possess the same medical properties as cinchonia and its salts. Dose, gr. v. to gr. xv.

- An inorganic water-soluble platinum complex. After undergoing hydrolysis, it reacts DNA produce both intra interstrand crosslinks. These crosslinks appear to impair replication and transcription of DNA. The cytotoxicity cisplatin correlates with cellular arrest in G2 phase cell cycle.
