a company formed by Sir William Alexander in 1621. On September 21, James I. granted to this company an enormous territory in America, covering a large part of the United States and the whole of Canada. Alexander, with whom was associated David Kirke, endeavored to sell his lands as baronetcies. This scheme failed and the company was dissolved.
