Permanent slowness of the pulse with attacks of giddiness, faintness, transient unconsciousness, or epileptoid seizures. This is caused by atrophy, degeneration or inflammation of the bundle of His, a structure which conveys the impulse of muscular contraction from the auricles to the ventricles.
