Syn.: parotid duct. A duct about 2 1/2 inches long, which conveys the secretion of the parotid gland into the mouth. It opens on the inner side of the cheek, nearly opposite the second upper molar tooth. [Nicholas Stenson, Danish anatomist, 1638-1686.]
