A modification of the ordinary catheter ;-to facilitate the changing of catheters, without the fear of making false passages. It is a common catheter, open ac its beak. The Stylet or Mandrin is one half longer than that of the ordinary catheter. To use the instrument, the stylet is pushed into the cavity of the bladder through the catheter. The latter is then withdrawn by slipping it over the stylet, which is kept in its place, and serves as a guide to a fresh catheter.
