The root is eaten by the Chepewyans. It has an agreeable nutty flavour. By the Canadians, it is called Queue de Rat. The poisonous roots of Cicuta virosa, C. maculata, and C. bulbifera, are often mistaken for it. - Sir J. Richardson.
