An American poet and prose writer; born in Cambridge, N. Y., Feb. 11, 1814; died-, 1898. He published poems entitled "Voices of Nature" (1850); "Songs and Ballads" (1857); "Great Wonders in Little Things" (1871); "Ocean Gardens and Palaces" (1877); "Elmdale Lyceum" (1879); etc.; also "Psalmist for the Use of Baptist Churches".
