An apparatus for fractures, especially compound fractures, of the lower extremity; it consists of a guttered wooden splint on which are laid overlapping strips of bandage, 1 1/2 times the length of the circumference of the limb; the leg is then placed on the splint and the strips are applied over it so as to enwrap it and retain the dressings.
