A liquid of ammoniacal odor, isomeric with trimethylamine, obtained by heating propyl nitrate with alcohol and ammonia. It has been recommended as an antispasmodic in chorea in doses of gr. 30-60 (2.0-4.0), and in rheumatism and pneumonia.
