A Greek writer of the second century, native of Macedonia. He wrote a historical collection of instances of military ruses employed by Greeks, Romans, and Barbarians. It was entitled "Strategics", or "Stratagems", and was inscribed to the emperors Marcus Antoninus and Lucius Verus. The work is extant. It was first printed in 1549, and again in 1887.
