A small tree of the Nat. Ord. Sapindaceae, common in Cafferland, the fruit of which is called Wild Plums. It furnishes a vinous beverage, and excellent vinegar. Its kernel contains an oil, which, although eatable, is somewhat cathartic, and is recommended as an external application in tinea capitis, alopecia, &c.
