The Roman poet; born at Sulmo, March 20, 43 B. C.; died at Tomi, 17 A. D. He wrote: "Metamorphoses"; "Fasti" (The Calendar); "Epistles"; "Amours"; "Art of Love"; "Heroids"; and other works.
