An American clergyman and writer, a native of New York State; born in 1841; died in December 1895. He was pastor of a Congregational church in Rochester, N. Y. His chief works are: "The Creation of the Bible"; "The Continuous Creation, an Application of the Evolutionary Philosophy to the Christian Religion".
