A compound of mercury and nuclein; used in 1-per-cent. solution as an antiseptic (in ear and eye diseases and gonorrhoea) and internally in syphilis.
Mercury nucleinate, an organic compound of mercury with nucleinic acid from yeast, containing 10 per cent. of metallic mercury. It is bactericidal, and possesses the actions of mercury.
