A Polish poet; born in Podolia in 1802; died in Stanislav of, Aug. 17, 1834. He was a soldier by profession; but published a volume of poetry in 1828. He took part in the war for Polish independence in 1830, at which time he produced his most famous stanzas, "The Poems of a Polish Uhlan". They were very popular among his countrymen during the great agitation.
