A Swedish novelist; born at Boras, July 4, 1819; died at Stockholm, May 7, 1894. Her stories deal for the most part with the problems of labor; among them are: "Labor Ennobles" (1859); "The Nobleman's Daughter" (1860); "Birth and Breeding" (1861); "Changing Fortunes" (1871); "A Child of the Time" (1873).
