A Mexican historian; born in the City of Mexico, June 8, 1816; died there, Jan. 27, 1881. Among his published works are: "History of Geography in Mexico" (1876 and 1880); and "Ancient History of Mexico", his most famous work (1880-81), in four parts,-"Civilization", "Primitive Man", "Ancient History", and "The Conquest".
