Lower brain stem diseases, including ischemia MOTOR NEURON affect nuclei fascicles. nerve may also be injured by diseases of the posterior fossa or skull base. Clinical manifestations include unilateral musculature and lingual dysarthria, with deviation tongue towards side weakness upon attempted protrusion.
