Definitions of CRURAL ARCH
Sort: Oldest first
-
This arch is formed by the internal portion of the inferior edge of the aponeurosis of the obliquus externus muscle, which is attached, at one end, to the pubis; at the other, to the anterior and superior spinous process of the ilium. At its posterior and inner part, the aponeurosis, forming the arch, sends off a falciform reflection, which is attached along the crest of the pubis, and is known under the name of Gimbernats Ligament. Beneath this arch, the vessels, nerves, and muscles make their exit from the pelvis to the thigh.
