To post a single article simultaneously to severalnewsgroups. Distinguished from posting the articlerepeatedly, once to each newsgroup, which causes people to seeit multiple times (which is very bad form). Gratuitouscross-posting without a Followup-To line directing responsesto a single followup group is frowned upon, as it tends tocause followup articles to go to inappropriate newsgroupswhen people respond to only one part of the original posting.
