is any division of parts, previously continuous. Wounds and fractures are solutions of continuity. The word Continuity is opposed to Contiguity: the latter meaning the condition of two things which are near each other, or touch without uniting. There is contiguity between the head of the humerus and the glenoid cavity of the scapula, but not continuity.A lesion of continuity, Laesio continui,is a destruction of continuity caused by disease.
