A keyboard with a small, flat rectangularor lozenge-shaped rubber or plastic keys that look like piecesof Chiclets chewing gum. Used especially to describe theoriginal IBM PCjr keyboard. Vendors unanimously liked thesebecause they were cheap, and a lot of early portable andlaptop computers were launched with them. Customersrejected the idea with almost equal unanimity, and chicletsare not often seen on anything larger than a digital watch anymore.
