(1560-1644), led a band of "Separatists" from England to Holland in 1608. He obtained a grant of land in North America from the Virginia Company and brought over the first company of Pilgrims to what is now Plymouth, Mass., in 1620. He was pastor of the Plymouth colony till 1629.
