An American journalist, critic, and dramatic writer; born in New York, June 4, 1835. He wrote for the New York Times and World, Milwaukee Sentinel, and other journals-and was also a war correspondent. He wrote: "The Chronicles of Milwaukee" (1861); "The Twins: A Comedy" (1862); and "The Primrose Path of Dalliance". He died at Monsey, N. Y., March 10, 1903.
