MINERAL WATERS OF. Called by the Germans, Aachen. A thermal, sulphureous mineral water, which contains, in 1000 grammes, 28.54 cubic inches of sulpho- hydric acid gas, 18.05 cubic inches of carbonic acid gas, 0.1304 grammes of carbonate of lime, 0.0440 grammes of carbonate of magnesia, 0.5444 grammes of carbonate of soda, 2.3697 grammes of chloride of sodium, 0.2637 of sulphate of soda, and 0.0705 of silica. The temperature is 134 Fahrenheit. There are thermal sulphureous springs at Aix in Savoy (98), and some thermal springs at Aix in Provence (91).
