(1752-1826), served in the Revolutionary army. He was made Commander of the Fort Wayne in 1812. He fortified Maumee Rapids in 1813. He was defeated by a superior force of the British and Indians under Colonel Proctor at Rasin River in 1813 (See Rasin River.)
