An American clergyman and educator; born at Williamsburg, Mass., March 13, 1833. He wrote: "True Key to Ancient Cosmology and Mythological Geography" (1882); "Paradise Found: The Cradle of the Human Race at the North Pole" (1885), a very curious speculation; "The Quest of the Perfect Religion" (1887); "In the Footsteps of Arminius" (1888); "The Story of Gottlieb", a study of ideals (1891); "Constitutional Law Questions in the Methodist Episcopal Church"; "The Religion of the World and the World-Religion".
