An English writer on veterinary subjects; born in 1777; died in London, 1847. He was for many years professor at the Royal Veterinary College, and co-editor of the Veterinarian, established 1828. He published a standard work on "The Horse" (1831), also a book on "The Dog" (1842), and others; all considered of high value in their line.
